Toronto - Canada's largest most cosmopolitan and cultural city stands on the shores of Lake Ontario. CN Tower. Although the city is best discovered on foot, start with a visit to the top of the CN Tower built in 1976 (the worlds highest free standing structure with glass-fronted elevators that rise 1,815ft (553m). Here you will have a 360 degree view over Toronto and on a clear day you can see Niagara Falls. The Skydome. The city also plays host to the world's greatest entertainment centre, the 'Skydome', which is a multi-purpose entertainment complex with a retractable roof.

Kensington Market. The open air market promotes Toronto's multicultural society with its infusion of world cultures. You will find a wide variety of shops, restaurants, eclectic clothing retailers, fresh produce stores, cheese merchants, fishmongers, cafés and general bric-a-brac stores.

The Harbourfront Centre. The Harbourfront is a recreational and cultural public space that houses the heart and sprit of Toronto. Museums. Including the Art Gallery of Ontario, which houses the world's largest collection of Henry Moor's works. Visit Black Creek Pioneer Village, a restored 19th century Canadian village, or take a trip to Fort York an early 19th century historic site with displays and military demonstrations.

Other attractions include a moonlit harbour cruise or a trip to the Toronto Islands. A must do is an excursion to the awesome Niagara Falls, one of the seven wanders of the world.

Shopping in Toronto: Toronto is a shoppers paradise, Eaton square is the main shopping centre with over 350 top department stores, restaurants and cinemas. Another world awaits you underground, where you will find miles of shops, boutiques, fountains and plenty of cafe bars to rest your feet.

Events in Toronto: The Toronto Jazz Festival. Rated as one of the best Jazz festivals in north America. Each year the festival attracts about 2,000 international and local musicians, the festival usually takes place in June.

Nightlife in Toronto: Their are over 5,000 restaurants in Toronto, trattorias, bistros and ethnic eating houses are plentiful, reflecting Toronto's multi-cultural diversity. In the summer, most restaurants open an outdoor patio and it's customary to eat outside under the stars. Toronto has a great theatre district and is fast building a name as a centre for the performing arts.

Airport transfers to Toronto city center: The airport is located 16 miles (27km) northwest of downtown Toronto. Regular bus transit services run to and from the airport into downtown Toronto and surrounding areas. The 24-hour Airport Express bus picks up from the Arrivals level of all terminals and services the downtown bus terminal as well as major downtown hotels.

General public transport in Toronto: Public transport is safe and very easy to use and it feeds most major tourist attractions. The subway has only two major lines with buses and streetcars stretching out to every part of the city, the light rapid transit (LRT) line extends out to the Harbourfront. Taxis are reasonably priced and always available.
